This time, we’re introducing this Scandinavian-style cottage-like home surrounded by greenery! Since you can enjoy the outdoors in private, let’s take a look right away~!
↓

This home’s exterior, with its eye-catching navy color and white lattice windows, has one big highlight: a very spacious outdoor area! It even has a garage with plenty of room to park two standard cars, and next to it is a stone-paved approach leading to the entrance.

At the back of the garage is the huuuugewood deck
from the opening! Thanks to trees that keep their green leaves even in winter, such as Japanese white oak, dogwood, and Hirado azalea, the view from people walking outside is screened off. It’s a private, open-feeling space where you can even enjoy a bit of forest bathing!

Step inside the entrance, and you’ll find a 5.1-tatami doma space with an open ceiling, connected to the living room by glass doors. It’s exciting right from the start~ ![]()

The place Shacho and Aocchi visited this time is
Nomura Koumuten Co., Ltd.’s
“Tsuika0 Amagasaki Nishitachibana (limited to one home)”!

Here’s the location↓
It’s in Amagasaki City, right next to Nishinomiya! It’s only about 1 kilometer in a straight line from the Muko River♪
The address is 4-15-29 Nishitachibanacho, Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Next door is “Auberge Court Amagasaki Nishitachibana,” which we introduced previously💁 (take a look at that one too!)
Now then, let’s take a close look at this home, starting from the first floor~ ![]()

The First Floor Is Seriously Amazing

First, let’s check the first-floor layout👀

So, when you open the front door, a doma spreads out right in front of you. Above it is a high open-ceiling space, bright and filled with light streaming in through the skylight at the top ![]()

The doma is gently connected to the living room by glass doors, so even if the family is in the living room or kitchen, you can still see what’s going on and feel at ease. You can enjoy relaxed doma time here.
For example, like this!

A parent and child can maintain their favorite bikes or do some DIY together~♪

You could grow herbs in an indoor garden and use them for cooking!

Bring out a ball pit and it instantly turns into an indoor playground♪ Plus, since you can bring a stroller right into the house, going out with a baby becomes super smooth!

There are plenty of other possibilities too: you could store a surfboard, display fishing rods and lures, and more. The ways to use the doma are endless! You could also let kids play here with their outdoor toys.

The doma comes equipped with a shoe cabinet that can store about 50 pairs of shoes. The top of the shoe cabinet can be used to place greenery or as a display shelf for your favorite photos and artwork.

On top of that, the shoe cabinet uses the humidity-controlling material “Sarariart”, which absorbs moisture and odors to keep the entryway air fresh.
To begin with, homes by Nomura Koumuten feature “breathable plaster walls”.
They absorb and break down the “four major bad odors,” including ammonia, which is a source of pet and kitchen waste smells. Also, because they release very little of the odors they absorb, they are excellent at reducing everyday household smells.
And that’s not all↓
What is shikkui plaster?

★It can be expected to have antibacterial properties, helping you stay comfortable even during the humid rainy season.
★Because it is made from natural materials, it is gentle on the body!! Recommended for people concerned about “sick house syndrome” or those with allergies.
★It has humidity-control properties, so you can stay comfortably dry!!
★The main component of shikkui plaster is inorganic and nonflammable, so it does not generate harmful gases or vapors when burned. That means it is highly fire-resistant!! And durable too!!
★It is a material that makes static electricity less likely to occur and helps prevent dust and house dust from clinging to it, so it is resistant to dirt and easy to clean!
★Since it is applied by hand, it can be textured with a trowel, polished, given unique shading, and expressed in many different ways. It can create a beautiful texture that vinyl wallpaper simply cannot imitate.
★Italian-made shikkui plaster that is also used in World Heritage sites (and amazingly, in Japan, Nomura Koumuten is the only company that handles it!)

“By the way, if anyone says they want this kit that lets you compare its fireproof and flame-resistant qualities with vinyl wallpaper
