Soundproofing panels have been added to the piano in the central plaza on the 2nd floor of ACTA Nishinomiya East Wing.

Here it is↓

Apparently, the panels behind the piano are soundproofing panels.
Here’s how it looks from the front↓

The street piano had been installed there since 2020, and at first it could be played anytime. But due to noise concerns, about a year after it was installed, its hours were shortened to 12:00–17:00.
Finally
It would be nice if the sound only carried within the plaza. But since it inevitably echoes throughout the area, measures like this are probably understandable. I looked into soundproofing panels a bit, and it seems that installing them can reduce sound by around 10 to 20 decibels.
