The curry specialty shop “めんふくろう”, which we previously reported was coming to the 1st floor of ACTA Nishinomiya West Building, has opened.
(This information was provided by Kagayaki No. 509, a Nishitsu supporter. Thank you!)
Here it is↓

Looks like it opened at 11:00 on Wednesday, October 10. There’s an owl🦉 beyond the door~~
The menu was out too↓

It looks like there are 2 types of curry: “Fukurou” (spicy) and “Original” (medium spicy).
For each one, you can choose either “katsu curry” or “fried vegetable curry,” and it seems to come with a vegetable salad set. Both the cutlet and vegetables look loaded and tasty~😋
You can also add toppings like croquettes and cheese.

We feel a sense of kinship with the hiragana shop name “めんふくろう” lol
On the floor guide, it’s here↓
Quoted from ACTA Nishinomiya – Floor Guide
There used to be a steak restaurant here.

It closed in May this year.
Final Thoughts
When we looked into めんふくろう, it seems to have been a shop located in Osaka’s Central Wholesale Market, and it apparently said it would open at ACTA in early October. Looking at Tabelog, it seems they used to serve curry rice with a mini salad for 550 yen. Ingredient costs have gone up now, so we don’t know what will happen, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
Thank you to Okaeru-san, Kaeitsu-san, and Iroha, a Nishitsu supporter, for providing the information!!
