Apparently, the Shinkansen’s Doctor Yellow is retiring due to aging.
(Thanks to Kagayaki 509 & Iroha @ Nishi2 SP for the tip)

There’s actually a place in Nishinomiya where you can see that Doctor Yellow from above.
Here↓

It’s the Sanyo Shinkansen Memorial Park in Kotoen!
Here’s the map↓
The address is 4-5-20 Kamikotoen, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.

Doctor Yellow’s operating schedule isn’t public, so we can’t say for sure, but try looking it up online. (It comes up if you search for it)
Here’s a video↓
Pay attention to the sound when Doctor Yellow passes by.

As you can see, it’s a pretty special spot where you can get a great view of Doctor Yellow.

A rare collaboration shot of Itoham, which has a factory in Nishinomiya, and Doctor Yellow. This one was at Shin-Osaka in 2011

Looking at comments online, there were some heartwarming stories, like a conductor letting passengers know that Doctor Yellow was about to pass by, and everyone on the train happily watching it together. It really made me feel how loved it was.
In Closing
Go try capturing the “yellow Shinkansen of happiness”, Doctor Yellow, on video, in photos, or with your mind’s camera (something teachers used to say a lot back in school). It’s getting hot, though, so please be careful of heatstroke.
※Kagayaki 509 & Iroha @ Nishi2 SP, thank you for the information!!
