What is Regi Go?
Regi Go is a service that lets you handle everything yourself, from scanning items to paying, using either a Regi Go device or a smartphone app. In Nishinomiya, it’s also been introduced at “Daiei Nishinomiya” in Imazu.
As you walk around the store, you scan each product’s barcode yourself when you put it in your basket, and at the register you simply scan the payment code to move straight to checkout. So you can shop smoothly without lining up at the register.
The steps look like this↓
- Place either a Regi Go device from the store or your own smartphone with the dedicated app downloaded into your shopping basket
- Scan your items
- Scan the payment code and proceed to payment
- Return the Regi Go device

Waiting in line at the register can get pretty frustrating, right?😓 If one everyday source of stress disappears, that’s honestly pretty nice😄 I haven’t tried it yet, but I definitely want to give it a go. By the way, it looks like the regular registers are still there too.
