Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi has an area that’s almost like a place name called Showaen, though it isn’t an official place name.(Apparently Minami-Showacho and Kita-Showacho were created in 1938. Before that, it wasn’t called Showaen either)
Sanma lived in Nishinomiya around 1975, but unfortunately, it wasn’t Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi.

The correct answer is d. Imazu.
The source is “Akashiya TV” broadcast on Saturday, December 21〜.
And believe it or not, the person shown on the left is GPS runner
@Nishi2. During a conversation about how Sensei is from Nishinomiya, Sanma happily talked about how he lived in Imazu-Kusugawa when he was doing his apprenticeship training!
After looking into it, it seems Sanma moved to Imazu after graduating from high school, and lived in a small 4.5-tatami apartment with no bath. Apparently, he would practice rakugo by himself while walking along the Mukogawa riverbed〜. Aimyon also said she used to sing by the Mukogawa〜 maybe it’s a path everyone goes through
Here it is on the map↓
From a bit of digging, it sounds like the place he lived was somewhere near Sakagura-dori.
So apparently he also went to places in the Shin-Koshien Shopping Street area, like the now-gone Koshien Onsen, Kameya Shokudo, and the okonomiyaki restaurant Manami(真七美), according to info online〜. (For details, see Imazu Ima Mukashi Monogatari)
Also, Sanma apparently used to come pick up Master Matsunosuke’s son from a cram school near Miyako Market〜(info from Nishi2 reader Sky Air)
He also talked about going on a date with a girl from Mukogawa Women’s University. Since his master Shofukutei Matsunosuke’s home was in Naruo, maybe they met along the way.
For Sanma, who has such unforgettable memories of Nishinomiya, Sensei gave him a T-shirt featuring GPS art of Sanma’s face drawn in Nishinomiya two years ago〜
Sensei @ Nishi2 (Naoki Shimizu) presented it to him〜! At this point, isn’t that basically a gift from Nishinomiya?
Koshien Stadium is at the bottom left. Sakagura-dori, which he would just barely recognize, is in there too. And the Mukogawa, where he practiced, is clearly included as well.
The program is available on TVer until Saturday, December 28 at 14:59〜. Sensei @ Nishi2 appears from 13:52〜.
