Today, Sunday, March 9, Nishi2 readers Yummy Yummy-san and Koharu Sanjuro-san went to check out the 9th Haru Matsuri 2025 at Kabutoyama Forest Park.

Oh! A map. Looks like there’s a lot going on.

Forest Play Plaza! With hammocks and everything, it looks fun.

Kobito Pan. Its simple, rustic feel somehow really suits Kabutoyama.

A hot sandwich with thick Japanese omelet? You just know that’s good.

This is called treeing, where you attach ropes to a tree and climb it. Looks fun. Though I wonder if it’s scary.

Looks like they had all kinds of workshops too.

They’re even giving away juice packs! Nice.

Apparently, if you rode the bus and showed your ICOCA card, you could get a lantern. Lucky!

There are lots of events kids would love.

And can’t-go-wrong favorites like yakisoba and French fries, too.

They were selling vegetables as well.

Kabutoyama Forest Park really does have a great atmosphere.

They even had natural candy.

There really are a lot of booths.

Looks like they had nature observation activities too.

There also seemed to be a performance stage, and it looks like it got really lively.
It runs until 3:00 p.m. today, and it’s now 2:26 p.m. If you live near Kabutoyama… can you still make it? Probably not.
