When you put them side by side, the new one has a softer look than before and feels more like a local town magazine～.
The renewed version is on the left. It’s now full color and easier to read.
The History of City News
Believe it or not, the first issue was published in Showa 26 (1951)! This year marks its 75th year.
It started out in black-and-white vertical writing, then went through several renewals, and since 2005 it has been distributed to every household in the city.

A New Year’s issue from around 2022↓. It was only four or five years ago, but it already feels kind of nostalgic.

What Changed With the Renewal
Now Published Once a Month
Until now, it was published twice a month (on the 10th and 25th), but it will now be published only on the 1st of each month.
It will arrive at your home between the 26th of the previous month and the end of the month～.
市政ニュースが月1回発行に。どう思う？
More Pages and Full Color
It used to be 8 pages with some color, but from now on it will be 12 pages in full color!
It’s moving to once a month, but the total amount of information will be about the same～.
You Can Read It on an App Too
Using a public relations magazine app called “Catalog Pocket”, you can now read it not only on a computer, but also on smartphones and tablets. The feature that notifies you when the latest issue is published seems handy too.

Finally
This was a major renewal, so a lot of people were probably surprised when it arrived. It’s amazing that this public relations magazine has continued for 75 years. Nishitsu is now in its 8th year. We’ll keep doing our best to bring you Nishinomiya stories in our own relaxed style, a little different from City News😉
