Yama no Panya Daddy’s Bakery in Yamaguchicho Uses Pesticide-Free Wheat from Its Own Farm [Nishitsu Gourmet]

I visited “Yama no Panya Daddy’s Bakery Nishinomiya Main Store”, a bakery in Yamaguchi-cho that uses pesticide-free wheat from its own farm.

It’s commonly known as “Yama no Pan”… because the sign you can see from the road says “Yama no Pan” (^_^)v↓

Breads I Ate and Bought at “Yama no Panya Daddy’s Bakery Nishinomiya Main Store”

The “Pastrami Beef” hot sandwich ¥450 (tax not included) and hot café au lait ¥280 (tax not included)↓

They toast the hot sandwich for you in the shop (^_^)v Of course, takeout is also OK!

The “Pastrami Beef” hot sandwich had pastrami beef and melty cheese nicely tucked into crisp, fragrant, hard-style bread, and it was delicious (*^^)v

The hot café au lait came in a container I’d never seen before, but it was very easy to drink.

Spinach and Cheese ¥260 (tax not included)… The crispy cheese, spinach, and wheat flavor really come through, and it has a satisfying chew.

Anchovy and Cheese ¥230 (tax not included)… The saltiness of the anchovy and the cheese are just right with the crispy bread… It feels like it would go well with wine too (*^^)v

Honey Shokupan ¥600 (tax not included)… This small, long loaf has had the same flavor since the bakery opened. It’s made with 24% honey and no sugar, so it’s gently sweet and fluffy↓

I managed to get one of the last two loaves !(^^)!

Apparently, they have their own wheat field for the shop in Inami-cho, Kako-gun. I’d love to see it…

Since it was right after opening, their most popular shokupan hadn’t finished baking yet ^^;

From growing the wheat to milling and baking, they do it all themselves… What kind of shokupan must that be? I really wanted to try it. Next time, for sure!!!

Outside the shop, there’s an eat-in space with a roof and a wood-burning stove (though since it’s outside, is it really “in”…?); you can also warm up the bread you bought in the toaster oven outside and eat it there.
