A Light Lunch at the Newly Renovated MOS & CAFE [Nishitsu Gourmet]

There used to be a MOS Burger a little northwest of Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station,

but it was renovated last year,

and transformed into this chic and stylish MOS&CAFE～(^^♪ Even the exterior totally feels like a cafe～!!

What We Ate at “MOS&CAFE”

The recommendation is the Teriyaki Chicken Burger! Also ordered clam chowder and a limited-time Dassai Shake S

Clam Chowder ¥320 (tax included)

A warm soup with a rich shellfish flavor～ It had lots of clams in it～(^^♪

It comes in a ceramic bowl, with a spoon too(^^)/Even before it became a cafe, little touches like this were part of why I wanted to come to MOS!

Teriyaki Chicken Burger ¥380 (tax included)

The sweet teriyaki sauce is full of flavor, and the chicken is so tender～!It’s not fried, so it feels healthy(^^)/

The crisp lettuce and just-right mayo bring out the harmony between the buns and teriyaki～

Apparently Niko-chan orders this Teriyaki Chicken Burger every single time!

When I spotted the word Dassai on the counter menu, I couldn’t resist trying it～Dassai is a famous Japanese sake!

When mixed with a vanilla shake, the sake-like aroma spreads throughout～but it uses amazake, so it’s non-alcoholic(^^)/

It’s available in limited quantities and seems like it may end soon, so if you want to try it, hurry～

The recommendation is the MOS Rice Burger Seafood Kakiage. Also ordered the Onipote Drink Set(^^♪

MOS fries are a little thick, so you really get that potato feel(*^-^*)

And the onion rings, which you don’t see all that often, have a crispy coating and a gentle sweetness from the onion!

For the drink, I chose a hot cafe latte!It didn’t really go with the rice burger(^_^;)

The mug has that warm, relaxing feel that’s very MOS(^^♪

MOS Rice Burger Seafood Kakiage ¥370 (tax included)

Even though it’s a hamburger shop, I always end up ordering this(^_^;)

It feels like eating a seafood tempura rice bowl with your hands～(^^)/

Inside are squid, shrimp, onion, carrot, and edamame, and the salty sauce is a perfect match with the riceIt’s written as “rice,” but I’m saying gohan on purpose!!!

It looks small, but it really fills you up～Niko-chan worried and asked if it would be enough for me(^_^;)

There were lots of customers, so this was the kind of shot I could get(^_^;)

There were artificial houseplants decorating the space, and overall it had changed into a chic, relaxed atmosphere!

Final Thoughts

Both of us ended up ordering the same things we always do, but MOS hamburgers somehow taste close to homemade hamburg steak, don’t they～

It’s also a nice service that they bring freshly made food to your seat!

There are lots of menu items I want to try next time, like burgers wrapped in lettuce instead of buns and the Green Burger made without animal-derived ingredients～(^^)/

It was a relaxing space that made me want to go back. Next time, I really have to eat something different!
