“Koshien Brass Band Festival” Looks Like a High School Wind Ensemble Event

It looks like an event called “Koshien Brass Band Festival 2024” will be held at Hanshin Koshien Stadium on June 16.

At last year’s inaugural event, around 800 high school students from eight schools performed brass band music in front of an audience of about 8,000 people.

Date and time: Sunday, June 16, 2024. Doors open at 12:00, performance starts at 14:00

Venue: Hanshin Koshien Stadium

• [Shiga Prefecture] Omi High School

• [Hyogo Prefecture] Takigawa Daini High School
• [Nara Prefecture] Chiben Gakuen High School
• [Wakayama] Chiben Gakuen Wakayama High School
• [Osaka] Minoh Jiyu Gakuen High School
• [Kyoto] Ryukoku University Heian High School

Ticket prices: Premium seats 5,900 yen / General admission 3,900 yen / Elementary and junior high school students 1,000 yen (tax included). All seats reserved (infield stands)

In Closing

“African Symphony” really has that classic high school baseball feel, doesn’t it? I didn’t recognize it just from the name, but the moment I heard it, I knew exactly what it was.

I wonder if they’ll play it. You’ll probably be able to hear it around the outside of Koshien Stadium on the day too!
