Work is underway to install a wheelchair lift on the stairs.
The elevator will be unavailable from May 8 to mid-June, according to the schedule.
It apparently looked like this on April 23, so many people may have been wondering what was being built.
As of April 25, it looked like this and was almost complete.
Finally
Construction starts after Golden Week. The elevator will be unavailable until around mid-June, which will be inconvenient, but it can’t really be helped since it’s for renewal work. I don’t think they’ve installed a lift like this even just for the construction period before, so it should be helpful for wheelchair users.
