Hanshin Nishinomiya is apparently bringing out “recommended Obon menus” from 8 shops. Nishitsu tried three of them〜.
All menus are here↓

Whoa〜〜〜! 8 choices makes it so hard to decide〜!
Sushi sounds great, but sandwiches would be fun for a party too. I also want some hearty fried food, and since it’s summer, a refreshing yet gorgeous salad is tempting〜.
So then

This recommended menu is from “Green Gourmet”, a deli select shop produced by RF1, known for its huge variety of salads.

“Green Gourmet” RF-1 30-Item Salad Set 1,640 yen (tax included)
I went with this gorgeous salad packed with 30 different items〜〜〜

Roast beef so tender it almost looks translucent. The black pepper really does the job〜〜

A refreshing and crisp marinated squid. The colors are so vivid too〜〜

Spinach and bacon. A quiche with an amazing rich flavor from the ingredients. I love this〜

The crunchy texture of the bamboo shoots and potatoes is so fun〜〜〜. The light garlic flavor is totally my kind of thing〜

Ratatouille with summer vegetables scented with basil and olive, plus a tomato jelly so sweet it’s almost like dessert.

After something light and refreshing, I started wanting something hearty.
So next up

This recommended menu is from “コロッケのいろは”, which just opened this year and serves tasty, generously sized items at reasonable prices.

“コロッケのいろは” Fried Set 1,815 yen (tax included)
It’s packed with all the fried favorites everyone loves! A piled-high set for when you want to eat hearty.

Iroha’s fried shrimp has a strong shrimp flavor. I’m the type who eats the tail too, but how about everyone else〜?

As expected from a croquette specialty shop. It’s on another level! A sweet, fluffy, extra thick croquette. If you haven’t tried one, definitely do

Oh! This karaage! It has that nostalgic homemade mom’s flavor〜. Simple, and exactly the kind I really love〜

For some reason, crisp asparagus and bacon go so well together〜. Whoever came up with this combination is amazing.

And finally, we’re introducing〜

This recommended menu is from “イーション”, another shop that just opened this year and sells tons of Western-style deli items.

“イーション” Salad and Deli Feast DISH 1,290 yen (tax included)
This one has all kinds of things, from meat and fried items to fish.

Shrimp topped with ikura, giving it an elegant feel〜〜

Huh? Sushi?! Nope〜. Under the salmon is macaroni. The basil flavor goes with it so well〜

A lightly flavored, very meaty tsukune. It’s big and really satisfying to eat!

Egg? That’s what I thought, but it turned out to be a super satisfying ham cheese cutlet〜
