We reported that a second Starbucks location would be opening on the 1st floor of LaLaport Koshien, and it looks like it will be family-friendly.

What caught our attention is the name “Family Friendly.” This is probably a new store concept called a “Family & Friendly Store,” and it may be the 4th or 5th location of its kind in Japan.
Here are some of its features.
- A spacious layout that makes it easy to move around with strollers
- A dedicated condiment bar where parents and children can customize drinks together
- Original coloring sheets
A condiment bar is where you can customize your favorite drink with sauces and syrups. Apparently, the four options you can add are chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, caramel-flavored syrup, and vanilla-flavored syrup.
We’re guessing the three types of “Kids Frappuccino” for children will probably be these. At Koshigaya Aeon LakeTown, the price seems to be 440 yen.

Final Notes
According to what we found online, the second location nationwide was in Neyagawa, the third was in Koshigaya, Saitama, and the fourth is set to open at Namba Parks on September 25. Both Namba Parks and LaLaport Koshien open on September 25, but LaLaport Koshien opens earlier in the day, so maybe LaLaport Koshien will count as the fourth location.
