It appears the restaurant will close on Tuesday, June 30. It had reportedly been in business for 41 years.
Here it is on the map ↓
The address is 4-23 Hagoromocho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

Sushi Seasonal Cuisine Aoi is on the second floor of this building.

This is the sign you can see from outside.

Shukugawa Green Town is across the street.

If you go this way, you’ll reach the Yamate Kansen road.

Going the other way, you’ll find Hagoromo Bodaiju Park. If you turn left, there are places like Ryoriya Totomi and Yakitori Yoshioka.

This is the restaurant entrance.

Aoi was also featured in the past on Nishi2 Gourmet.

In front of the counter, there was even a traditional running-water hand-washing setup, giving the restaurant a wonderfully old-school sushi shop atmosphere.
Many reviews mentioned the fresh, generously sized toppings, hearty lunches, the sense of satisfaction from getting “this much for this price,” and the friendly, warm personalities of the owner and proprietress. It seems they also offered takeout, delivery, and catering, making this a sushi restaurant that had long been loved by locals, from everyday meals to family gatherings. It’s sad to see it close.
