According to the information source, the new parking structure will be a six-story steel-frame building with one penthouse level and a total floor area of 14,392 square meters. The deck building will be a three-story steel-frame structure with a total floor area of 1,743 square meters.
The new parking structure will increase parking capacity from 480 spaces to 591 spaces, and it will also serve as a tsunami evacuation building.
Completion is scheduled for late December 2020.
After the new parking structure is completed, the existing multi-story parking garage will be demolished, and a new hospital ward is planned to be built on the site.
