We went looking for a waterfall deep in the mountains of Yamaguchi-cho. But something felt off: Part 1
I have no doubt that Nishitsu’s dedicated readers have already seen it, but
in Part 1,
“There’s no way this is a waterfall, right? 😆”
“No way! (゜o゜)”
“Then, Shacho, let’s go look for the real waterfall together!!”
And that’s how it ended, with a “to be continued…” kind of vibe, so
we went searching for the “real waterfall”\(^o^)/
This time too, Nishitsu’s athletics 담당
led the way.
We explained why in Part 1, but
just between us… normally,
is super reliable. But since he’s an IT type,
as soon as we enter a place with no signal, he instantly loses his power 😂(Let me say it once more on purpose: IT people are incredibly reliable.)
This time, the three of us, ![]()
![]()
, went to see the “real waterfall”\(^o^)/

Just like last time, we crossed fields and mountains… wait, no, crossed rivers, passed through places where it looked like a Titan from Attack on Titan might climb up,
and kept walking and walking for Sensei, this was probably as easy as breakfast ^_^;as we headed for the waterfall \(^o^)/

In Part 1, this was the “waterfall” that made us go “It’s a waterfall! \(^o^)/” at maximum excitement… except it wasn’t a waterfall, just a place where water was coming out ^_^;

If you look closely, up above…

it says “sabo dam” ^_^;Apparently it was built in Showa 54.
It’s important to believe wholeheartedly, but
I was feeling a little unsure In the Part 1 video, I definitely muttered, “Is this really the place…?” so we had
climb up the left side of the dam to check, and in a cheerful voice he called back, “It’s a dead end!”
That was the reply we got! There’s even video proof↓↓↓
But this time, we went beyond that dead endso I guess it wasn’t actually a dead end and had them go all the way to the “real waterfall”
\(^o^)/

They climbed up a steep place like this!
When I shouted, “Shacho, are you okay?” from above the dam,
replied, “We’re having Sensei go on alone!”

Well, yeah, this definitely looks impossible for Shacho (・_・;)

After pushing through the mountain, they found an actual waterfall \(^o^)/
The name of the real waterfall is “Kawakami no Taki”.
On the map, it’s here↓
The address is Yamaguchi-cho, Nishinomiya City…

It feels like delicious Rokko water is gushing out!

Both of them made it back safely~Higher up, there’s a rope, and it feels like you’re climbing a wall so steep it’s almost vertical! I stayed below and watched the place ^_^;

Sensei, who came fully prepared to swim,

performed a splendid waterfall purification ritual at the fake waterfall, where the water was so cold it made him shiver,
praying for Nishitsu’s continued growth\(^o^)/
So what exactly is a waterfall?
As for what can be called a “waterfall,” according to the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism,
A waterfall is a place where flowing water drops sharply.
It also says that they generally display well-known waterfalls or useful landmarks that are at least 5 meters high and have water flowing at all times.
That’s what it said!
But, but, when I searched “waterfall” in Google Photos, which I use to store photos,

this place that got called fake!

and this venerable waterfall near the forest park!

and the Arima River during cherry blossom season too \(^o^)/
Google recognized them aaall as “waterfalls”!
If Google of the world says it’s a “waterfall,” then come on~
So from Nishitsu’s point of view, please consider that place the “Takiya~ no Taki” waterfall \(^o^)/
Finally
It turned into a long journey Was it a journey?, but we safely found “Kawakami no Taki”
and “Takiya~ no Taki” was also safely certified as a waterfall (*^^)v
We’ll keep going out to find great spots in Nishinomiya, even if we make mistakes along the way \(^o^)/
Finally, please enjoy the last traces of summer for a little while with this waterfall video!
