We picked up some Halloween jonamagashi from “彩花苑 西宮店,” a shop that sells adorable seasonal fresh Japanese sweets!
They’re almost too cute to eat 💕… but we’re eating them anyway 😋

Let’s open the box! What do we have here?

Tadaaaa♪
Oops, they shifted to one side because I raced over on my bike…

Ghost 320 yen (tax not included)

Pumpkin 320 yen (tax not included)

Bat 320 yen (tax not included)

All together!
Halloween🎃 in wagashi form

実柑 300 yen (tax not included)
There were three kinds of Halloween jonamagashi, but when we asked for one recommendation, they showed us this peeled mandarin orange 😂
It’s so cute 😍
It looks just like the early-season mandarins that have started showing up lately!

The filling inside the pumpkin was pumpkin bean paste!
It tasted even more like pumpkin than expected. Perfect with tea 🍵

The other three had smooth red bean paste inside! Even the cross sections are beautiful ✨

A Halloween display 🎃
The pumpkin version of the shop’s specialty “ゆめばうむ,” called “かぼちゃばうむ,” seems to be available for a limited time only!

In the case next to the Halloween corner, you’ll find jonamagashi made by wagashi artisan Takita-san.
The selection apparently changes depending on the month. These are the October items. (In November, whether the mandarin one remains or changes seems to depend on the situation.)
They’re all beautiful♪

Next to that are the Halloween jonamagashi.
They’re limited in quantity, so it might be best to reserve them before going.

The “ゆめばうむ” section.

I’m really curious what “くずアイス” is like!
