This bridge, located south of Shukugawa (between Sakagura-dori and the Rinko Line), is called “葭原橋（あしはらはし）,” or Ashihara Bridge.
But it’s not read the same way.
By the way, 中葭原町 is where the junior high school division of Koyo Gakuin, one of the Kansai region’s top preparatory schools, is located.
The correct answer is Nakayoshihara-cho.
The Origin of Nakayoshihara-cho
The town name comes from the fact that much of the surrounding area was once called Yoshihara.
Apparently, this whole area used to be a reed field, but because “ashi” (reed) has the same pronunciation as “ashi” meaning “bad,” people avoided that reading.
Instead, they called it “yoshi,” which has the opposite, positive meaning, and that is said to be how the town got its name.
With Nakayoshihara-cho in the middle, there is Kamiyoshihara-cho to the north and Shimoyoshihara-cho to the south.
