A new sandwich shop called “マルコのパニーノ” has opened in Uedanishimachi, just a little off Rinko Line.
(Photos and information provided by Min-san, Saya( ◠‿◠ )-san, and Mamesuke-san. Thank you!)
Here it is ↓↓

Here it is on the map ↓↓
The address is 1-5 Uedanishimachi, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
It used to be the Italian restaurant Marco Polo.

It had been closed since July 17, and a notice said it would reopen before too long as a new type of shop.
It has changed into an Italian sandwich specialty shop as its new format 😃
Area around “マルコのパニーノ”

Studio Alice is across the street.

If you go this way, you’ll reach Rinko Line. Keep going straight and you’ll find places like Mukobiraki Park.

If you go the other way, you’ll find the Showa-retro Japanese-style cafe Mamy.
Menu ↓

The panino set is 1,200 yen. Although they’ve ended operations as an Italian restaurant, it looks like you can still enjoy some of their teppan favorites 😍

From 3 p.m., you can get an assorted appetizer plate, mini focaccia, and one alcoholic drink for 1,000 yen~

A panino (sandwich) is 650 yen.

Business hours are from 11:00 to 20:00. They’re closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays~.
It looks like smoking is allowed here~.
Final Thoughts
In Italy, sandwiches are called panino~. Apparently hamburgers and hot dogs fall under the same category too~.
It’s nice to see more sandwich specialty shops opening around Nishinomiya City 🤗
*Min-san, Saya( ◠‿◠ )-san, and Mamesuke-san, thank you for the photos and information!!
