It looks like the 29th Outdoor Art Festival will be held at Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens. It’s on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.

Program
This year’s theme is “Friends”.
Under the sun-filled sky, the festival will express many different kinds of “friends.” There will be plenty of exciting programs you can only experience here, including an improvised art performance by elementary school students and artists, a flag exhibition, a hands-on art area, a camera experience, and more. Artwork will also be exhibited on Sunday, October 9. Please come and enjoy!

It looks like participatory events will be held on Saturday, October 8, while Sunday, October 9 will be for exhibitions. You’ll also be able to see a “calligraphy and painting performance” on Saturday, October 8 by children selected through elementary school students’ poems and artists active in Nishinomiya!
The participatory events are as follows.
Hands-on Art Area
This is a corner where you can try making original artworks together with university students and artists.

Participation fee (materials): 100 yen per session each (some are free)

・Fluffy felt
・Little Star
※In case of rain, some activities are planned to be held inside Gardens Hall.
Young Photographers
Try photographing the venue with photographers active in Nishinomiya using amazing cameras from Fujifilm. You’ll receive one of the photos you take on the spot.

In addition to the participatory events, there will also be performances and exhibitions, so it might be nice to stop by and take a look while you’re out shopping.

Autumn, the season of art, has arrived~🎨 No advance reservations are required for the participatory events, but some events appear to be first-come, first-served, so if you’re interested, be sure to arrive early♪
