We received a review from someone who attended the pre-opening of the Western-style restaurant “Grill Ippei” in Hanshin Nishinomiya, which finally opens tomorrow, 12/22!
(Information provided by CASANOVA. Thank you!)
Here’s the location on the map↓
The address is 1-8 Imazake-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Closed: Wednesdays

Maybe because it’s a popular place, there were lots of congratulatory flowers.
The day before yesterday, 12/19, was the pre-opening, so perhaps the full menu wasn’t available yet, but we were able to try all the standard dishes from their other locations.
Since we could order as much as we liked, there were even some bold people who ordered three plates each😄
The bill was free that day, but the register is contactless, and it seems you scan your bill and pay by yourself.
Until now, you had to go to Kobe or Amagasaki to eat there, so this long-awaited opening in the Hanshin area is a big deal.
There are quite a few Times parking lots nearby, but since the area has many other restaurants too, they’re pretty full even on weekdays.
When you feel like having omurice or cutlet, if you just go to Grill Ippei, they serve exactly what you were imagining. It’s like an old-fashioned Western-style restaurant. There was a drama starring Yuko Takeuchi called “Lunch no Joou” (Queen of Lunch), and this place has that kind of feel.
It wasn’t served at the pre-opening, but their beef tongue stew, which is also available by mail order, is outstanding.
In Closing
Grill Ippei finally opens tomorrow. Aren’t you getting really excited? If you go, we’d be very grateful if you could send photos and such to Nishitsu. Apparently, they’ll also be serving morning meals.
Thank you, CASANOVA, for the information!!
