Today is Saturday. Since many of you may be thinking, “Maybe I’ll go see the cherry blossoms,” I went to check out the sakura along Shukugawa yesterday, 3/23, around 5 p.m.
According to the weather forecast, today, 3/24, will be cloudy, and it looks like rain tomorrow, Sunday.

This is about 100m north of Shukugawa Station, looking toward the station. About half in bloom? Hmm, I’m not really sure, but it definitely wasn’t in full bloom yet. It was cloudy too, so the blossoms kind of blended in and didn’t really pop in the photo.

A lot of the cherry trees were blooming like this.

If you aim for the parts that are blooming as much as possible and take a close-up, it can look like full bloom. This is what they call cropping reality!!

I wonder how long it takes for them to bloom from this stage.
Shukugawa was peaceful.

There are two ducks in this photo. Can you find them?

The area north of around here is the “Sakura Light-Up Kurakuen” zone. It’s lit up from sunset until 9 p.m. We’ll post a detailed article about it today at 3 p.m.

It looks like large-group parties are prohibited in Shukugawa Park. If you go cherry blossom viewing, don’t forget to bring a trash bag. If people throw trash around, more and more things will end up being banned.

Security guards were also keeping watch at regular intervals.

The Shukugawa Mai Sakura was by Kohorogi Bridge. Lots of people were taking photos.

With that, we hope everyone enjoys a lovely cherry blossom viewing. We’ll report on how the sakura are looking again next week.
