I joined a running event from Tokyo to Fukuoka that passed through Nishinomiya on April 16.
Since they were going by Koshien Stadium, I waited at the intersection in front of the stadium.

Here they came! A group that definitely looked like runners.

So what kind of group was this?

Meet OnFriends Tour 2023
They’re holding a community running event that connects cities across Japan by running through them. Apparently they’re running all the way from Tokyo → Fukuoka.

Oh, it’s Sensei from Nishitsu!!
It seems there weren’t many people around On who knew the Kansai area well, so he had been helping guide them from Kyoto!! As expected!

A lot of the participants in this event seemed to be from the Kanto area, and they were really moved to see Koshien Stadium.

So, since they were running from Koshien Stadium to Nishinomiya Shrine next, Shacho-mi from Nishitsu decided to run along with them!

We ran along Route 43.

Waiting at the traffic light at the Imazu intersection felt like an oasis!

Fudabasuji. “Nishinomiya, the city of fine sake” — this is actually a very Nishinomiya kind of spot, isn’t it?

And we arrived at Nishinomiya Shrine. The pace wasn’t too fast, so I was able to finish the run.

Everyone knew Nishinomiya Shrine well, so they were pretty excited.

Since everyone was an On fan, they were all wearing On shoes.

They looked so easy to run in. By the way, these had apparently just been released on March 23.

Everyone was so fun, relaxed, and genuinely nice. If the same event is held again, why not join in and run with them too?
