The Nishitsu office is nearby, so we visited 喫茶ベリー (Kissa Berry), an even more Showa-retro cafe inside the Showa-era facility Shukugawa Green Town.

“Kissa Berry” and Its “Famous Omelet Curry,” “Egg Sandwich,” and More

Famous Omelet Curry, à la carte 900 yen (tax included) Comes with salad

A perfectly balanced, spicy curry that is not too hot. Apparently, the little black bits are cumin seeds.

Can you tell just by looking? It is so fluffy. That flavor of fluffy omelet mixing together with curry. Just imagine it. This is seriously something!

Napolitan, à la carte 800 yen (tax included) Comes with salad

The noodles are thick and chewy. It has onions, sausage, and green peppers too. That nostalgic flavor. It is the kind of dish you suddenly crave once in a while.

Pudding Set 700 yen (tax included) Comes with coffee

Plenty of caramel sauce! This cute shape sits right in the middle of all that nostalgia. A bear, a cherry, and whipped cream together. And just look at the dishware.

A rich pudding with a firm, bouncy texture. The slightly bitter caramel and sweet whipped cream are just right.

Cream Soda (Melon, Strawberry, Marine) 650 yen each

Here they are! Kissa Berry’s famous cream sodas!!! They come in seven colors in total.

Personally, I like blue. So I had the Marine!! It had been ages since I last had a cream soda, and I was very satisfied.

We offered a melon soda to Ma-kun, who is familiar from Nishitsu president Shachomi’s YouTube videos and always shows us around Shukugawa Green Town! Of course, he was very satisfied too!!

They also have tarako spaghetti.

There are three kinds of curry! The one at the very bottom looks wild. I am curious.

Why do bread, scrambled eggs, and sausage go so well together?

Ebisu Toast?! A Nishinomiya specialty right here!! Maybe we should have ordered this?!

The ice cream also has a cute Showa-retro feel.

They even have beer.

Inside Kissa Berry

There are a lot of bears. They are Kissa Berry’s trademark, and apparently it all started when someone doodled a bear and people thought, “That’s nice.”

Using these Showa-style antique items is such a nice touch.

Shizuka Kudo. Ushirogami Hikaretai. I guess there used to be things like that!

Kissa Berry’s mugs are cute too.

They have a ton of manga, and apparently they switch them out regularly.

So nostalgic. The main character is a boy. I’m a boy too, haha.
