COVID has finally settled down, and it feels like travel is going to be huge this year!

Yay! Where should we go? Where should we go?? Just thinking about it gets me excited!

Where you go is important, of course, but it sounds like there are way more ways to travel now than before COVID!

So this time!!
We went to “GLAM CAMPER” in Kurakuen-guchi to check out one of the latest camper vans everyone’s talking about!!

This is the camper van they’re going to show us today✨

At first glance, it looks like a simple, cute camper van, but the inside is amazing!

It’s my first time riding in a camper van!!! I’m so excited♪ Let’s go right away👊!! Haha

How to Enjoy a Camper Van

Dining Space

As soon as you open the door, wow Look at this dining space!!

It’s so spacious, you’d hardly believe you’re inside a vehicle! The seats are soft too, so you can really relax!

Fit the panels in and add more seats, and six people can sit comfortably✨! (*Seating capacity: 6 people)

Kitchen Space

Right next to it is a full-fledged kitchen space!!

There’s running water!! How does that work??

It has a 60L tank!

They also include drip coffee packs for five people from Kurakuen’s popular shop “TAOCA COFFEE”! They’ll even include mineral water too! That kind of thoughtfulness is just too nice!!

There’s also a 70L refrigerator, so your ingredients will stay fresh! And of course, you can keep your beer ice-cold too. Haha

There’s a freezer too! Let’s put some ice cream in there!

The kitchen also comes fully stocked with disposable chopsticks, plates, scissors for cutting meat, and more.
There’s a portable gas stove too, so even if it rains and you can’t barbecue, you’ll be fine!!
You can whip something up quickly in this kitchen〜🙆

You can come empty-handed except for the ingredients!

Cooking sounds like a hassle… Since we’re on a trip, I’d rather eat food someone else made😫 I want to buy a nice bento, heat it up, and eat it! Haha

Can You Actually Sleep Properly in a Camper Van?

There Are Four Beds

Inside the vehicle, beds and bedding are prepared for four people.
For groups of five or more, they’ll lend you sleeping bags!

At the very back of the vehicle is a bunk bed.

I thought sleeping in a camper van meant pushing everything to the side and lying around in sleeping bags…😓

I tried it out, and it was way more spacious than I expected

They have proper bedding ready, so you can go camping with a hotel-like feel!

Fit the floor panels in, and it turns into a bed in no time😳
It’s roomy enough for about two people to sleep!!

It feels like a secret base and it’s so cozy. Haha Kids would definitely say they want this spot!

And what surprised us even more was this↓
The dining space turns into a bed too😄!!
It fits together perfectly like a puzzle and transforms into a bed in no time

This is the roomiest spot, so as a dad, I’d want to sleep here!

The vehicle comes with Wi-Fi! You can even enjoy watching movies while lounging around

Nervous About Driving?

As someone who barely drives, this bus-like driver’s seat feels intimidating to me, but I think anyone who drives regularly should be fine

The driving controls are the same as a regular car! Since the seat is higher and there’s no hood in front, it actually looks pretty easy to drive.

The key points when driving are watching out for height restrictions and the inner wheel difference when turning! Also, 80 km/h is considered a safe speed for camper vans, so please be very careful not to drive too fast. We’ll explain everything in detail when you rent it, so feel free to ask us about anything you’re worried about!

This vehicle has a gross vehicle weight of 3.6 tons.
You can drive it with a standard driver’s license obtained by March 12, 2017, which allows you to drive trucks under 5 tons! (Apparently licenses issued after that changed to “under 3.5 tons”〜! I had no idea…)
It also comes with “Truck Car Navi,” which guides you along roads that trucks can use!
