Nishinomiya Tops Most Desirable Municipality Ranking for Fifth Year in a Row

Nishinomiya City has ranked No. 1 for the fifth year in a row in the municipality people want to live in ranking by E-Heya Net〜.

Once again this year, Nishinomiya beat out Tokyo, Osaka, Ashiya, Kobe, and Akashi to take 1st place!

This is the Kansai edition, but I guess that means there are still quite a few people who want to live in Tokyo too.

So, we’ll ask this on purpose.

What city do Nishinomiya locals consider to be the “second Nishinomiya”? Votes in this survey tend to increase after a while, so if you’re curious, come back and check again later

I’m sure there are plenty of other convenient cities out there, but being able to hold elementary and junior high school joint athletic meets, and even the Coming of Age ceremony, at Koshien Stadium is definitely a privilege unique to Nishinomiya〜.

In the station ranking, Nishinomiya unfortunately dropped from 1st to 3rd place. Too bad〜.

Residents’ comments were along these lines: shopping is convenient! Access is great! It has a refined atmosphere, and so on.

Lastly

So while Nishinomiya didn’t take 1st place in both the municipality and station rankings this year, it still seems to be seen as a highly attractive city. At Nishitsu, we often hear from people who have moved away from Nishinomiya saying things like, “I read Nishitsu while feeling nostalgic.” It’s not just one or two comments like that, and it really makes us feel again and again that Nishinomiya is a great place to live〜.
