The 7th and final installment of “Summer Festival Memories” is the fully revived “Bon Odori Koyasusha Festival” at Naruo Hachiman Shrine.
This year, it was held on August 24.“Summer Festival Memories” is a 7-day consecutive series reported by Kagayaki No. 509, a Nishitsu supporter.

Unfortunately, it rained that day, so the Bon Odori dancing was canceled. Still, neighbors gathered for Naruo’s summer festival, which hadn’t been held in so long.
Here it is on the map↓
Address: 14-21 Kaminaruo-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo

Trees and people illuminated by lantern light. This indescribable, one-of-a-kind atmosphere is probably what becomes a special memory for the kids.I still remember things like this myself.

Until 2021, Naruo Hachiman Shrine had fallen into a lonely state…

They couldn’t hold the Bon Odori this time, but maybe the gods are happy to see the shrine this lively again. Still, I think the people in the community were probably the happiest of all.
That was the “Bon Odori Koyasusha Festival” at Naruo Hachiman Shrine.
With the chaotic days of the coronavirus pandemic behind us, Nishinomiya had many summer festivals held in the same style as before. How did you enjoy them? I’m sure something new will begin again next year too. Nishitsu will keep chasing after all the fun in Nishinomiya, always. Stay tuned!!
This 7-day consecutive summer festival report was actually experienced and photographed by Kagayaki No. 509, a Nishitsu supporter! Thank you so much!! We’d be delighted if you gave it a big “Oh, really?”
