On Sunday, December 3, we went to the music and event festival in front of Koshien Station, “Koshien Machinaka Fest 2023 Green Sound Stadium”, so here’s a look at what it was like〜.

People were gathering, gathering〜.

There was baby castella,

candy apples, and other stalls that felt like festival must-haves.

Looks like there’s a stall with a line〜.

Ooooh! Edaya-san was selling Saga ramen and fried chicken〜.

Naturally, I went for it with a draft beer〜.
Since this was a festival right in the Koshien neighborhood…

the music stage was really getting everyone fired up.

There were this many people in the audience too, and everyone was really into it〜.

Apparently Miyatan made an appearance too〜. So popular〜〜. From Toki no Tabibito @ Nishitsu supporter

There were all kinds of food and drink booths〜

From Potekara-ya, there was fried chicken, potato salad, and curry too〜. Actually, I had curry at another event too〜 I’ll write about that later

At Porchetti, an Italian-style meatball specialty shop, I was about to buy some, but they sold out right before my turn lol.

At Abientot-san, they were selling something called “Roast Young Chicken and Vegetables”〜.

Got it〜〜〜〜! The herbs were great, and the meat was amazingーーー. Meat and beer really do go well together〜. I got so excited about the meat that when ordering, I ended up saying something like “Meat, please〜” lol. Sorry. Watch the livestream video here

There were quite a few tables set up too. By the way, haven’t those colorful toys been multiplying lately?

So they’re called Super Yo-Yos〜. They were 500 yen〜. Even so, I still haven’t tried one. I’m curious

They were also selling burritos from kj’s kichen, which we visited for Nishitsu Gourmet〜.

Rocka Rolla-san’s sausages and chili con carne were sold out. Maybe I arrived a little too late〜.

It’s nice that at this festival venue you could watch from chairs, sheets, or even sitting right on the ground.

Still, maybe because it’s December now, it was getting cold today〜. I wanted something warm〜.

Oh!! They’ve got sake〜. If it’s Karatanba, then〜〜

It’s Ozeki-san〜〜〜! I run into them at so many events around Nishinomiya〜.

Th-this is… Wait, could it be hot sake? Could it be hot sake〜〜〜〜!!

I shared a warm toast with some Nishitsu readers〜. These natural encounters at festivals are really nice〜.

As the festival got closer to its finale, the excitement kept building and building.

The person behind this “Koshien Machinaka Fest Green Sound Stadium,” executive committee chair Mucho-san, took the stage〜.

So many people had gathered that there wasn’t enough seating〜〜.
Mucho-san, who really got the whole venue fired up, was born in Nishinomiya, raised in Nishinomiya, and lives in Nishinomiya: a true Miyakko through and through. Both his songs and his talk were full of love for Nishinomiya〜.

Mucho-san said that for a long time, he had wanted to liven up Koshien as a town of music, and had been working toward this day, dreaming of it all along〜.

The final commemorative photo. The performers and the audience were all this excited〜.

Mucho-saaaan, please hold this festival again next time and keep bringing energy to Koshien! Nishitsu is cheering you on too〜〜!
