It looks like a lighting ceremony will be held for the relocated Imazu Lighthouse.

It was reinstalled on its stone foundation on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Since then, the lighthouse itself and the surrounding area have been steadily restored, and the work has now been completed.
Starting at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, it looks like the “Ozeki Sake Brewery Imazu Lighthouse Lighting Ceremony and Safety Prayer Ceremony” will be held.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is around 3 Koshienhama, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

On the day of the ceremony, the mayor is also expected to attend, and there will apparently be a safety prayer by Fukuo Shrine as well as an offering of traditional sake-brewing songs.

Built in 1810, the lighthouse is now 214 years old. As Japan’s oldest active lighthouse, it was lit in green until last year, but due to the change in location, it will now light up in red under international rules for navigational aids. I wonder what kind of shade it will be.
Lastly
The area around its new location also seems to have been turned into a lawn plaza, so it may become a new place for people to relax. If we go check it out on the day, we’ll let you know what it was like.
