Do you know about the Buddhist statue at Kannoji Temple(Kannoji) that can only be seen once a year?
(Information provided by Kaorun-san)

Normally, there are hardly any people here around lunchtime on weekdays, but visitors were coming to worship nonstop.
Here’s the location on the map↓
The address is 25-1 Kabutoyamacho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

The parking lot was full, and even the bus stop was packed with people.
Here it is↓

“Yuzu Kannon Grand Festival(Yuzu Kannon Taisai)”
The hidden Buddhist statue of Kabutoyama Kannoji Temple can be seen only on May 18.It was designated a National Important Cultural Property in 1950

It’s a hidden Buddhist statue carved by Kobo Daishi
The Kannon statue on the far right is also called Yuzu Kannon, and it’s said that she helps you with money.

This many people showed up on a weekday in 2022! Since this year it falls on a Saturday, there may be even more.

You can see Yuzu Kannon from this entrance to the main hall~.(Photography is not allowed~)

So, if you haven’t been yet, why not go check it out at least once~. It’s open from early morning until sunset on May 18. By the way, the true meaning of “yuzu” is apparently “a heart that shows consideration for one another.” Kobe Shimbun interviewed the chief priest about it~
※Kaorun-san, thank you for the information!!
