“Shakegoyama Campground,” a Nishinomiya City facility
It was closed for renovation work from last November through March this year, but it has now reopened for use.

The size and layout vary depending on the section（site）, but each one comes with a wooden deck, table, and chairs, making this a very convenient campground where you can enjoy a casual day camp with minimal gear.

The address is “1-119 Shakegoyama, Koshimizu, Nishinomiya City.”
Since it’s in the mountains, going by car is convenient, but due to parking limitations, each site is limited to 2 cars.
If taking the bus, get off at “Kabutoyama Koko-mae” on the Hanshin Bus Jurinji Line. It’s about a 15-minute walk from there.
This facility requires an advance reservation.
On the day of your reservation, you go to the reception desk and fill out the required information. They will then guide you through your assigned site and explain the facility rules, so even first-time visitors should find it easy to understand how everything works.
The building you can see in the back is the cooking area.
The cooking area is shared and divided by section, so please use the spot assigned to you.
The workspace is spacious, so you can prepare meals together with your kids!

Please dispose of charcoal from cooking as instructed and leave everything clean before heading home.

There’s enough space to set up a typical pop-up tent and lay out a picnic sheet. Even if you don’t have something like a sunshade tarp, you can use your usual park gear to make a nice spot for napping or taking a break.

There are many slopes throughout the campground, but this open area is flat, so children often play here.
As seen in the cooking area photo, some sites have a stove very close by.
※Within this campground, movable fire equipment such as fire pits that produce open flames may not be used except in the permanent stoves provided. Fires started with firewood or using fire pits must be made inside the permanent stoves.

You can also buy firewood at the campground（600 yen）, and there are about three types of cooking tools available for rental.
For anyone wondering about the restrooms, they are kept clean and include Western-style toilets! Another nice point is that some toilets have doors to help keep insects out as much as possible.

It’s a small campground meant for smaller groups, so there may be many people who don’t know about it.
Because it isn’t too large, it’s easy to spend time there even with small children. Elementary school-aged kids can fully enjoy looking for insects, and above all, you can relax in nature right here in Nishinomiya City and enjoy a meal outdoors. It’s a wonderful campground.
There are many slopes, so depending on the site, using an outdoor wagon or stroller may be difficult. It’s best to check in advance when using the campground.
