Located 10 minutes by bus from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station, “Kanjiro Shoten®” is a shop where you can enjoy set meals on-site, and also buy meat at its “Jumbo Market,” held once a month.
Their specialty is dishes made with fresh, high-quality meat that only a meat company can offer. At lunchtime, you can enjoy excellent dishes like yakiniku set meals, curry, and stewed meat bowls.
The “Kanjiro Yakiniku Set Meal” is especially popular! It comes with plenty of meat and is exactly the kind of meal that makes you want to keep eating rice. It’s also nice that you can choose an extra-large portion of meat.
The Kanjiro Shoten® Jumbo Market is also held once a month, where meat of the same quality usually sold wholesale to yakiniku restaurants is specially made available to the general public. It’s a great chance to buy fresh meat at a good price!

The Shop’s History
The origins of Kanjiro Shoten® go back to 1917, when Kanjiro Nakasuji opened a meat wholesale business in Ashihara-cho, Nishinomiya City. With a passionate desire to “serve delicious meat to everyone in the community,” they have continued activities rooted in the local area.
In 1967, the business changed its name to “Nakasuji Shoten,” and in 1988, it moved to Nishinomiyahama. At the same time, it also opened a directly operated restaurant. In 2021, it obtained SQF, an international certification standard, and in 2022, opened the current set-meal restaurant “Kanjiro Shoten®”. Now 105 years since its founding, the company continues to give thanks for life and provide safe, reliable meat.
1967: Toshiharu Nakasuji changed the trade name to “Nakasuji Shoten”
1988: With the relocation of the Nishinomiya City Meat Center to Nishinomiyahama,
the business was incorporated as Fresh Meat Nakasuji Co., Ltd.
Construction of a new company building
At the same time, the Hanshin Meat Process Center cooperative opened.
A directly operated restaurant was also added
This laid the foundation for the current Nakasuji Co., Ltd.
2015: Yuki Nakasuji became president
2021: Obtained safety and quality management certification under SQF,
an international certification standard based on HACCP for meat safety
September 2022: Opened the directly operated set-meal restaurant “Kanjiro Shoten®”
September 2023: Began regularly holding meat sales for the general public as the “Kanjiro Shoten® Jumbo Market”
Access Information
The shop is 10 minutes by bus from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station, and just a short walk from the Nishinomiya Marina Park Higashi bus stop. It is open on weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00, and closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. It’s perfect for a casual lunch.
