When my wife and I were dating, we used to meet up at MaxValu. It’s sad to see a place full of memories disappear.

I had only recently started stopping by often on my way home from the gym, so this is really disappointing. I somehow liked the spacious store and the music they played. It was one of my favorite supermarkets.

First Baskin-Robbins 31 disappeared, and now MaxValu too… There are just too many memories… I think I’ll be feeling “MaxValu loss” for a while… What am I supposed to do with my happy little life now? 😭

When I was a student, I worked part-time in the cashier section. It’s been more than 10 years since I left, but most of the part-time staff are still the same. There were customers I became friendly with too. Even after quitting, I lived nearby, so I kept shopping there. I would catch up with the staff, and to me it felt like a warm, homey store. I never imagined it would close. I definitely want to shop there on the final day too.
Sugichan
It was right near my parents’ home, and my father, who has trouble walking, used it. Everyone was so kind and helpful, so it’s a shame.
O-chan
There was a time when it opened from 7 a.m., wasn’t there? I still remember rushing over because we had no bread for breakfast on a day off, and it saved us. Since it was on my way home from work, it was really convenient for picking up a few extra things, so I’m sad to see it go.
Resident near Koshien
After playing with my child at the traffic park, we would buy juice at MaxValu and drink it together on the bench outside. On nights when my child wouldn’t sleep, I’d take them there while shopping and let them play on the slide inside. During pregnancy and when shopping with children, I’d ask for delivery… My life was always alongside MaxValu… (TОT) I’m truly sad, but thank you so much for everything. (;_;)

I shop there often. I also used the hair salon, dry cleaner, and takoyaki shop that were attached to it. I’m sad it’s closing. I hope another supermarket opens here again.

It was in a convenient location, and I often used it for shopping. Such a shame.

Komatsu no Yacchan
When my child was still in a stroller, when they had just started toddling, and when they became able to help with a child-size shopping basket, MaxValu was always close to our family, watching over their growth. I’m truly sad and lonely. Thank you for so many memories.
Zenryoku Chunen
Until Mandai opened, this was the only one nearby. Maybe it’s because Aeon acquired Marunaka and it became Daiei. Such a shame.

When my child was a baby, if they were fussy and wouldn’t sleep, I would often take them out for a walk in the stroller, stop by MaxValu, and then go home. The store was spacious, the aisles had plenty of room, and it opened early in the morning, which was a big help. I often bought bread for breakfast at the bakery. I’m sad it’s closing, but thank you for everything!

I remember rushing over to buy diapers for my son. It was a nice distance for a walk from home, and it supported me so much while raising my child.
