It looks like an event where you can learn about what things were like during the earthquake and disaster stockpile items will be held for two days, today Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18, at Nishinomiya Citizens Mutual Aid Hall.

The address is Nishinomiya Citizens Mutual Aid Hall, 5-33 Honmachi, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
Introducing Some Stockpile Items〜
This event lets visitors look back at conditions during the earthquake while learning about emergency stockpile items. Displays and tastings of stockpile foods are also planned, and it seems there will be items that can be useful during disasters.
Including the Latest Stockpile Items
“Hardtack has that dry, bland image, doesn’t it?” According to About-san, many older people still strongly associate it with “dry, crumbly biscuits.” But today’s stockpile foods are apparently really tasty.
For example…
Kyoto Bologna canned bread

Moist and fluffy, with a taste that makes it hard to believe it’s canned bread. You might even get away with serving it for a regular breakfast?
“Tabekko Dobutsu”

(The photo shows regular Tabekko Dobutsu)
There are also snack-type items popular with children! During tastings, people apparently react with surprise, saying, “This is emergency food?”
Probably this one↓

What will be served for tasting is something to look forward to on the day! But,

you might discover something new: “Stockpile food is delicious!” Definitely give it a try!
Wet Wipes That Don’t Dry Out, and More
Another item About-san recommends as “This is amazing!” is wet wipes. There seems to be a type that stays wet in storage for 5 years, so you won’t have the sad experience of finding them “completely dried out even before opening…”
The displays should be fun just to look at, but for non-food items, disaster prevention specialists will carefully explain how to use them. If something catches your eye, feel free to ask them about it〜!
Lastly
This seems like an event where you might be surprised and think, “Wow, stockpile items have evolved this much〜.” We hope it helps people look back on what happened during the earthquake while taking small steps toward disaster preparedness through the latest stockpile items.
※About-san, thank you very much for the information!!
