The rare cut “Ichibo” is just 700 yen~~
- Kuroge Wagyu Ichibo 100g 700 yen (756 yen tax included) (*A super rare cut, with only about 5kg available from one cow)
- The balance between the rich umami of lean meat and the marbling is just right. If comparing it to a similar cut, it has a lighter sirloin-like feel
🍳 A “one-pan steak” at home sounds pretty great too
- Bring the ichibo to room temperature, then season with salt and pepper
- Quickly sear both sides over high heat ➡︎ then cook each side for 1 minute over medium heat
- Let it rest in aluminum foil for 2–3 minutes, and it’s done!
Finish it with a little butter and soy sauce, and you’ve got a restaurant-level treat🍽️ Give it a try~. Of course, it’s also great for yakiniku or roast beef. Quantities are limited, so don’t wait too long.

For Kuroge Wagyu ichibo, mornings are recommended. For everyday dinner meats like chicken thigh and sliced pork, buying in bulk seems like a good move. If you portion and freeze them, weekday cooking gets a whole lot easier. It may be crowded on the day, so cashless payment such as PayPay is apparently faster.
