There’s a huge preschool along the Nakatsuhama Line in Nagata-cho, Nishinomiya called “Kids Duo International(キッズ デュオ インターナショナル)西宮北口,” and we heard they were holding a summer festival, so

Shachomi, who loves summer festivals, went to check it out〜
It’s a preschool that combines childcare and education, built around three pillars: English, intellectual development, and physical activity. Children spend most of the day in an English-speaking environment, but unlike an international school, it also places strong emphasis on education in Japanese, their native language. Its sports science-based physical education program is also very popular. Following the Toyonaka location in Toyonaka City, Osaka, this became the second Kids Duo International in Kansai, opening in April 2024.
(キッズ デュオ インターナショナル is long, so we’ll call it “KDI” from here on〜)
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 5-1 Nagata-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

WELCOME! So many KDI friends had come to join the fun〜

The spacious entrance had a very Japanese feel, filled with lanterns! It was bustling with excited parents and children〜.

The whole preschool was full of summer festival decorations. Each classroom had been transformed into a festival game area.

“Scooping bouncy balls.” Scooping, bouncy, balls? That means…

Ahhh! Super ball scooping. Though there were lots of things that didn’t exactly look like balls, lol

There was a child trying really hard to scoop them up〜〜〜

They kept scooping up their favorite colors. They were having such a great time〜

According to the parents, there were so many games that the children were absolutely thrilled. They also said it was wonderful how the teachers cheered the children on by calling their names〜

I know this one! Yo-yo fishing!

The oval-shaped yo-yos were so fun〜

Let’s give it a try!

It’s pretty hard to hook one〜〜〜

Yes! Got one!

Wait, there’s a child who caught a ton〜〜〜〜!

We also heard from parents that their children spend every day happily at KDI, and that not only have they picked up English, they’ve also gotten good at Japanese songs〜

There was even a corner for making uchiwa fans.

They were coloring them in, and of course they called the marker color “Yellow” in English! These are 2-year-old preschoolers〜

Bowling with a giant ball was really impressive, and so much fun too〜

Like an obstacle race, you crawl through this little opening〜

Shachomi likes this kind of thing, so she took on the challenge!

Basically Sadako lol

There were lots of little ninjas who had learned KDI’s signature “ninja play,” building nine basic movements such as running, jumping, and throwing through games〜.

Some parents said their children had gotten much better at throwing balls.

Could this be Bon Odori?!

It’s BON DANCE〜〜〜

Everyone was really into it, dancing the highlight of Japanese summer festivals: “Bon Dance”〜

At the end, they received toy souvenirs from the prize draw and said See you next Monday!
🎤We asked the parents! What is KDI really like?
