Expansion work is currently underway on the temple grounds at Mondo Yakujin Tokoji.
Because of that, the road on the east side is closed to traffic until December 25.
There used to be a parking lot for Mondo Yakujin across the road, so I wondered if they were expanding that far and looked from above, but it doesn’t really seem like it… maybe… (^_^;)
Finally
Mondo Yakujin’s Yakuyoke Grand Festival is held on January 18 and 19, so it’s nice that the temple grounds will be larger and cleaner in time for that !(^^)!
Not only for the grand festival, but also for the regularly held “Deai Market,” many people gather here. With events like flea markets and mochi tossing, it really does feel like a place for local people’s deai (encounters) (#^.^#)
