Today, Thursday, October 30, the newly reopened “Pal Yamato Nishinomiya Store” along Route 171 had an absolutely huge line. We also got a good look inside the store, so here’s our report〜.

The store opens at 10:00, but customers were already lined up as of 9:20〜
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 11-17 Wakayamacho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.

There were cones set up along the side, ready for even more people to line up.

More and more people kept gathering〜〜

Even by a conservative estimate, there were about 200 people in line〜

So, let’s head inside and check out the newly renovated store〜

Right as you walk in, you’ll find the fruit and vegetable section.

It feels like it got a lot more spacious!
For the reopening, the featured deals of the day were seriously cheap!

Even these〜〜 huge daikon radishes are 98 yen! Miso soup, pork miso soup, hot pot, oden. It’s such a versatile vegetable that goes with anythingToday only

A head〜〜〜 They sell stuff like that too〜〜 lol 2,000 yen

Rows of super-fresh fish. Fish you probably won’t find at other supermarkets were lined up everywhere!

They now have a counter-service fresh fish section, which is rare for a chain supermarket〜

Abalone that were still moving. It’s a still image, but can you tell it looks like it’s about to move?

Wait, they have a live fish tank(ikesu) too〜!!

Who would’ve thought the day would come when we’d see fish swimming inside a supermarket in Nishinomiya? The shrimp are spiny lobsters〜

Flounder〜〜

Premium aburame〜

Ebessan would want this sea bream〜

I’d love to eat this striped jack〜 as sashimi

And get this! You can order fish from the live tank〜〜. We’ll take the striped jack, please

The freshly caught striped jack from the tank goes straight to the prep area in front of you.

They fillet it right there. It’s prepared with ikejime nerve-killing, which helps it stay fresh longer〜

Apparently, eating fish fresh off a fishing boat is overwhelmingly, hands-down delicious.
