Today, February 14, Kawaragi Junior High School’s “New School Building Tour” was held, so I went as an alum~!
It’s gotten so nice and clean!
The blackboards can be moved up and down to match students’ height~.
What’s really amazing is that the walls between the classrooms and hallways are movable. They can open everything up and use the hallway as a learning space too. Looks like it would make class observation days easier too~.
The serving table is still the same. So nostalgic~.
This is the cooking room. It has illustrations on it!
The illustration for the computer room is cute too~!
This is the former area in front of the teachers’ office. It’s now a meeting room~. Indoor shoes here too.
Inside the meeting room, there was a nostalgic space set up by the alumni association,
with an exhibition of graduation albums and
displays of the new uniforms and gym clothes, plus a try-on event for the old uniforms~.
Inside the school building, there were new free spaces,
chairs inside the restroom,
and even shoe lockers, so it all felt really fresh~!
In Closing
It was originally a school where you could enter with outdoor shoes on, but outdoor shoes are now prohibited throughout the entire school, including School Buildings 1 and 4, which really surprised me~. Even though it’s a new building, it still made me feel very nostalgic, so alumni and local residents who couldn’t go today should try visiting tomorrow, the 15th~. By the way, about 180 people came on the first day.
