They also have coloring books featuring not only flowers and nature, but Disney characters and famous paintings too, so it seems easy for beginners to get started.

Even people who aren’t confident at drawing can create beautiful, personal artwork, which is why it’s becoming increasingly popular as a new hobby. It’s also said to help improve concentration and promote relaxation. Recently, it’s often used at group homes and similar facilities as a mental exercise for seniors.
The “Adult Coloring Contest” accepts submissions every year from around September to December, and outstanding works apparently receive prizes. In 2025, one of the prizes was an original bag made with the winner’s own coloring artwork. That would definitely boost motivation!
Coloring may bring to mind children’s play, but once you see the actual works, they’re surprisingly sophisticated. Since the color combinations are completely up to you, it’s a deeper world than you might expect. If you’re curious, why not stop by the exhibition?
