There will be a children’s chigo procession, along with gagaku court music and bugaku dance. It should have an elegant and festive atmosphere. You can see what last year’s event looked like here.

There will also be food trucks on the day.
- COFFEE kinenbi(coffee)
- patisserie YOSHI(parfaits, cakes, etc.)
- Soluna Kitchen(grilled sandwiches)
- bonbon le cocon(cotton candy)
Very azalea-themed charms and goshuin stamp books, too

It looks like they’ll also have Kobano-mitsuba tsutsuji embroidered goshuin seals and limited-time goshuin seals.
You might win a prize in the Tsutsuji Photo Contest

To enter, send a photo of the Kobano-mitsuba tsutsuji azaleas taken with your smartphone or camera by DM to the official Hirota Shrine Instagram. Winners will receive some great prizes. If you manage to take a cool shot, it might be worth giving it a try. Details are here
Finally

Kobano-mitsuba tsutsuji are early-blooming azaleas, and one of the nice things about Hirota Shrine is that you can enjoy them together with the cherry blossoms. If you haven’t been to see them yet, definitely check them out.
