A new hospital and condominium building are apparently planned for the former site of Nishinomiya Municipal Central Hospital. (The title was mistakenly written as 2023🙏)

What will be built?
Nishinomiya Municipal Central Hospital will close on Tuesday, June 30, and from July, medical services will begin at the new “Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya General Medical Center” near Hanshin-Kokudo Station.
On the former site, a private hospital and condominiums for sale are planned. The hospital is apparently scheduled to open in December 2030.
The private hospital will be a five-story building with 13 clinical departments and will also handle acute care.
The condominium building will be for families, with around 110 units in a seven-story building. A park will also be developed, so it looks like it will become a comfortable place to live.

What’s around the area?
There are actually quite a few shops near Municipal Central Hospital. Here’s a quick look.
Diagonally across the street is Takayamado, a Japanese sweets shop.
A little farther south is “Okamoto Shoyu Noodle.” Their chicken soup made with unpasteurized soy sauce is outstanding!
There’s also a Marugame Seimen south of the hospital. It reopened after renovation in summer 2025.
And farther south from there is Aeon Nishinomiya Mondo. Super convenient.
There are plenty of other shops along Nakatsuhama Line too, so it seems like it would be an easy area to live in.

Finally
For anyone who thought it would be inconvenient once Central Hospital closes, the news of a new hospital being built should be welcome. It’s also close to Mondo-Yakujin Station and easy to access by car, so some people may find themselves wanting to live there. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates!
