You grind the sesame seeds yourself, and ladle the sauce from a pot. That little extra step you get at a tonkatsu place is fun, isn’t it?
You can enjoy the tonkatsu with sauce or rock salt. Refills of shijimi clam miso soup and cabbage are available👌

This tonkatsu restaurant opened after the restaurant area was renewed last December. The rice is supervised by Kyoto’s famous rice shop “Hachidaime Gihey.” It’s nice to see that much care put into the rice too.
