It will be a collaboration with JR Central’s “Oshi Tabi” campaign! Apparently, this is the very first JR collaboration.
What will they be doing?
The FamilyMart in Shishigaguchi will get special decorations
During the campaign, the inside of “FamilyMart Nishinomiya Shishigaguchi Store” will apparently look a little different.

Actually, near the end of the movie “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya,” a FamilyMart receipt appears, and if you look closely, it says “Shishigaguchi Store.”

The address is 1-39 Shishigaguchi-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
It’s an 8-minute walk from Kurakuenguchi Station.
It’s also very close to the Hankyu Bus / Sakura Yamanami Bus “Shishigaguchi” stop, and the Hanshin Bus Yamate Line “Shishigaguchi” stop and Jūrinji Line “Shishigaguchi-kita” stop.

If you visit locations that appear in scenes from the Haruhi anime and collect smartphone stamps, you can apparently receive items such as an “AR photo frame with voice audio”!The finish point is “Create Nishinomiya” at LaLaport.
You can apparently watch an original drama on the Tokaido Shinkansen
If you turn on location services on your smartphone and the train reaches around 200 km/h or faster, you’ll be able to watch it. There also seems to be a Haruhi quiz.

This is the first collaboration between Haruhi Suzumiya and a railway company in four years, since the 2022 collaboration with Hanshin Railway and Hanshin Bus. If you have a chance to ride the Tokaido Shinkansen during summer vacation, definitely try connecting with your smartphone! If you don’t have that chance, even just the Shin-Osaka to Kyoto section with a special fare could work.
