The Lunch We Had at “Umaimonya Haru”
From the daily specials, the fried Haru rolls with shrimp↓ (a menu item named after the restaurant)
The shrimp was wrapped in shiso leaves, with a crispy texture and plump shrimp, and the slightly spicy sauce went perfectly with it. It was delicious (*^^)v

The small side dishes that day were simmered dried daikon with mizuna in sesame dressing, and broccoli and shimeji mushrooms in a spicy dressing. Each dish was carefully made (*^^)v And of course, delicious.
And then the sashimi set meal↓
The thick-cut sashimi included yellowtail, fresh octopus, sea bream, and tilefish sorry if I got any of that wrong ^^; It was so fresh and delicious that I wanted to shout, “Nihonshu!” !(^^)!

It came with the same small side dishes as the daily special. The miso soup also had a nice dashi flavor and was delicious, of course.

About “Umaimonya Haru”
The owner is a former rugby player with a wonderful smile (*^^)v
You can just tell that anything made by this guy has to be good!! When we asked if we could take his photo, he said he’d get ready and neatly fixed his hair (#^.^#)

The restaurant’s name, “Haru”, apparently comes from the owner’s grandfather, who loved bringing people together and making them happy. His grandfather’s name was Haruo (^^♪
You can get a sense of his personality from signs like this too..↓

Final Thoughts
The name “Umaimonya” means they only serve good food (*^^)v
They post the day’s recommendations on Facebook every day.
The sign on the first floor said solo diners are welcome, and that the pricing is clear and straightforward. It feels like a lot of people probably haven’t noticed there’s such a delicious place up on the 3rd floor!
We didn’t know about it either! Thank you to Patty from Cafe “Ondes” for telling us about it !(^^)!
Next time, I’d like to go privately, even by myself.
