We Tried Takeout Bento from Sakura Table in Sakura Shukugawa

Just steps from Sakura Shukugawa, I got takeout bento from “サクラテーブル,” a shop selling bento and prepared side dishes.

Next to the shop is an eat-in space called Sakura Terrace, where you can enjoy beer, coffee, and more.

　Chicken Nanban Bento　680 yen

　Hamburger Steak Bento　800 yen

I also added two homemade beef croquettes.

I put the croquettes on top of the rice, and it turned into a hearty, over-the-top bento🐽
The beef croquettes were packed full inside, with the sweetness of the potatoes coming through nicely. So good.

The chicken nanban might be best described as a chicken breast tempura version, if that makes sense.

The side dishes included things like shira-ae and potato salad, making for a nice balance!

The hamburger steak had a rich, meaty flavor.

The weather was nice, so I ate at a park along the Shukugawa River♪

Sakura Table’s bento is full of warmth and reminds you of home cooking!

Eating it outside makes it taste even better.

These lovely ladies are the ones making it all!!

They also had a limited-quantity beef kalbi bento for \800.

Items marked with a ★ can apparently be changed to a special bento with four kinds of side dishes instead of one for an additional 200 yen.

They have not only side dishes, but sweets too, like carrot pound cake.

These are the counter seats right by the entrance.

There are power outlets, so you can charge your phone anytime!

They said they’d like to keep gradually adding more interior decor to the space.

※Until the end of April, all seats are part of the eat-in space
※From May, only the entrance counter seats will be used as the eat-in space, while the back of the shop is scheduled to open as an area for plated meals
