May 5 is Children’s Day. So we’re bringing this to you with a little Children’s Day vibe.
It’s in Nishinomiya, but you have to go through Kobe City to get there.
That place is “Sweets Garden 有馬・神戸”Even the shop name says Kobe, but…
“Sweets” means sweet treats, so it feels fitting for Children’s Day, right?

Cakes We Bought at “Sweets Garden 有馬・神戸”
From the left: Meringue Lemon Pie￥500 (before tax)…On top of a crisp, light pie crust is a layered lemon cream, finished with fluffy, airy meringue. The refreshing lemon aroma fills your mouth (*^^)v
In the back is the Tempting Apple Pie ￥600 (before tax)…The apple is just so delicious! The shop’s description said it’s a special item where you can elegantly enjoy the flavor of apples that have been carefully prepared as confiture, compote, and more !(^^)!
On the right is Silky Fromage ￥650 (before tax)…A fluffy, smooth texture! On top of a cookie base is baked cheese, then berry mousse, and beautifully decorated pink cream, with nuts adding a nice accent. It was a light cheesecake with a bright berry tartness.
These three cakes were featured in the mail-order sweets section of Fujingaho, a lifestyle magazine for women first published in 1905 (^^♪

In the front is the Strawberry Fraisier ￥500 (before tax)…The French version of strawberry shortcake! It comes in a cup! There’s a tiny macaron on top! Instead of whipped cream, it feels like a shortcake made with a rich cream combining custard cream and buttercream. Apparently, this cake is always the most popular at department store events! The fruit seems to change depending on the season (^^♪

Here’s another place in Nishinomiya with “en” (garden/park) in its name.
Located about a 15-minute walk from Arima Onsen Station, “Sweets Garden 有馬・神戸” is a lovely spot surrounded by nature.
I heard that around July they have a cake made with a whole peach, so I’ve firmly decided I’m definitely going back (#^.^#)
