(This tip came from Noririn. Thank you!)
Heading from Mondo-Yakujin toward Kobe College, after walking a little along the river, in the garage of an ordinary house…

There was a sign like this ヽ(^o^)丿It’s so subtle you might almost miss it!

When I nervously walked past the car parked in the garage, there was another sign!

Hmm… do I go up the stairs? Or is the door in front the entrance?

It was written right here! “Beyond this door is Kissa Aruhi.”

Even after opening the door, it still feels completely like someone’s homeThere was also hand sanitizer (*^^)v

The little ornaments on top of the shoe cabinet…
“Excuse me, coming in!”
“Come on in.”

And behind the door on the right is “Kissa Aruhi”Once you get this far, you can relax! There really was a cafeヽ(^o^)丿

You can sit on the sofa, or on the floor cushions!
It feels just like visiting a friend’s house (*^^)v

On top of the retro furniture was a lovely bonsai… There was even a seat where you could sit quietly by yourself (#^.^#)

There was artwork on display,

lots of beautiful greenery,

and even some toys(^^)

On this day, I had iced tea ヽ(^o^)丿
The menu includes:
・“Aruhi Set Meal” boiled dumplings (daily special), white rice, miso soup ¥800 (tax included)
・Coffee, café au lait, tea, milk tea ¥500 (tax included)
That’s the menu ヽ(^o^)丿

The owner is Ms. Kanei, a wonderfully warm and down-to-earth person with a lovely smile!

Another mystery… When I asked about “株式会社 つわぶき暮らし研究所” next to the nameplate,
it turns out they do things like garden design and landscaping work ヽ(^o^)丿
From the Tsuwabuki Kurashi Research Institute website
A garden where you can enjoy all four seasons sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? (#^.^#)
It seems the owner can hear the voices of tiny flowers and greenery…Take a look at their Facebook page (#^.^#)

☆It seems Kissa Aruhi closes when the owner has gardening work.
Finally
The warm and wonderful owner also seems to gather children for craft activities and other fun things!
Kissa Aruhi uses what used to be the owner’s grandmother’s home as a cafe, so time felt like it was flowing slowly and peacefully there…
Apparently, some customers say, “I’d been curious about it for a long time, but I never quite had the courage to go in.” The owner told me that many people from the neighborhood stop by (*^^)v
This time I only visited for tea, but I left thinking I’d like to try the boiled dumplings next time (*^^)v
※Noririn, thank you for the tip!!
