There was something I’d never seen before at the intersection on Nakatsuhama Line where Seria is!
Most people would probably just walk right past it, but as Nishitsu, we couldn’t just ignore it ヽ(^o^)丿
On what looked like a meter, there were unfamiliar words like
“倒伏” I don’t even know how to read it (・_・;) and “開度.”
The only word I knew was “起立,” but it definitely can’t mean the “stand up” kind of “起立”!
On the opposite side, there was something that looked like a wire wound round and round.
After looking up various things like the equipment name and company name,
it seemed to be equipment related to water, but the area around it is an intersection and there’s no water flowing anywhere.
So, when I checked Nishinomiya City’s waterway map,
there was a hidden waterway marked with a light-blue dotted line.
Apparently, it’s called an “暗渠 (ankyo),” which means a waterway that’s buried underground or covered with a lid!
If I had to guess, this equipment measures and adjusts the amount of water in that hidden waterway.
“起立” probably means something stands upright to stop the water from flowing.
So it kind of was the same “stand up” meaning I already knew ヽ(^o^)丿
